Facebook Ad Info
Why Facebook? A couple of reasons, including:
- The obvious fact that most businesses already have a Facebook page
- Their advertising is affordable and user friendly
- Businesses advertising on the site are able to conserve advertising dollars, because money spent on the site is used to only target their most desired customers (target market) through:
- a.Geo targeting
- b.Demographic selection
- c.Psychographic selection
On top of all that, the social media giant boasts some impressive stats:
1 in every 13 people on Earth is on FacebookIn 20 minutes 1,000,000 links are shared on Facebook
It is the second biggest website by traffic behind Google (at the moment)
Facebook Ad Tips
Are you convinced yet that you should be taking advantage? Then here’s how to get started. First, make sure you have administrative rights to manage the Facebook page of the business you want to create the ad for on Facebook. Log in to Facebook under your personal profile:
- Click the drop down carrot on the top right of your Facebook page, and select “Create Ads”
- Choose the objective of your ad. The common ones we use for clients are “Boost Post,” “Promote your Page,” and “Send People to your website,” but all of the objectives have descriptions that come up as you mouse over them, which will help you choose the right one for your ad.
- Choose the Facebook Company page that you want to advertise for.
- Now to the part that marketers like, “Create your Audience.” This is where you choose who you want to see your ad. You can and should define your audience (aka target market) according to geographic location, demographic information (age, gender, etc.), and interests.
Note: Watch the “Estimated Daily Reach” to make sure you aren’t narrowing your audience out of existence. - Choose your budget. One of the best things about advertising on Facebook is that you can choose how much you want to spend a day. I recommend starting small at $10-15.00 an ad.
- Choose the dates and times you want your ad to run.
- Now you can create your ad. We recommend using compelling images, and a concise heading and message. Give people just enough to be informed and want to know more.
- Then review and place your order!
Admittedly I may have glossed over a few details, but that’s only because Facebook makes it easy to get started! So please, try something new and schedule your first ad, or contact us for help. Either way, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
