Thanks to the rise of social media and all of the marketing opportunities it presents, many marketers have debated as to whether or not email marketing is dead or dying. The overwhelming response from the web? Email marketing is very much alive and kicking. Here at Magnus, we couldn’t agree more. In fact, we think email marketing is an integral way of bringing together all of your marketing activities. The result is even stronger ties to your customers and community.
We understand that people are afraid to “bother” their customers, but do you consider saving money and being informed a bother? We didn’t think so, and neither will most of your customers. The ones who do will choose not to share their email.
Still not convinced it’s worth it? Maybe this fact will help.
7 in 10 people say they had made use of a coupon or discount from a marketing email in the prior week. You can’t be part of that statistic unless you start sending emails!
A few words of advice:
- Make sure your emails are mobile phone compatible, 80.8% of people read email on their mobile devices.
- Segment your customer groups to make sure your sending only the information that particular group wants to know.
- Send your emails in the morning to get a higher click through rate.
- And finally, watch out for overkill! Your customers are interested in your business (you know this because they buy from you) but let’s face it, they don’t care as much about your business as you do. The number one cause for unsubscribing is receiving too many emails.
Start collecting customer emails today, and tell your employees to as well. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to share your specials, promotions, news, and events with the people who want to know.
Still not sure how to go about it or just don’t have time? Contact Magnus to run your email marketing for you.
