At Barber Trucking, maintaining dependable and timely distribution to our customers is a huge part of our vision to becoming a national leader in the transportation industry. Just as important to us is creating a culture of safety for all of our employees, as well as those we share the road with.
That’s why we’ve developed different ways to acknowledge and reward those within our team who are practicing safety everyday. We recently held a Safety Meeting with all company drivers, owner operators and operations personnel, where we acknowledged those drivers who stood out as being particularly safety conscious. These drivers received a certificate of appreciation, and to be eligible for that, they needed to have a CSA score of 10 or less.
We’re proud to say that out of approximately 88 eligible drivers, 38 met the requirements and received certificates of appreciation (that’s over 40%)! Along with the certificate, they also got to leave the safety meeting early and got a Barber Trucking t-shirt.
We will continue to to give out safe driving rewards and inspire a culture of safety. We would like to thank all of our teammates and fellow travelers who work together to make the road safe for all drivers, ours included!
