Our friends at HubSpot made a really cool infographic of the “Top 3 reasons why your business needs a website” and we agree!
1. Perceived Value: 7 out of 10 customers look up a business online before going into a store. We’ll take it a step further and throw in one of our favorite stats: 6 out of 10 people are online while watching TV simultaenously. So follow this: people consume 40 hours of TV per week (see Chart 2), they watch an advertisement that tells them to go to your website, they want to go to a website before coming to your store anyway…so why don’t you want a website again?
2. Primary Source of Leads: not only inform them on where you’re located, but how to buy from you, or how to get more information from you in a non-pressured communication mode (aka e-mail). This comes back to our prior post, What is Inbound Marketing? Want to learn how to use your website, e-mail and Facebook together? read that post…
3. Establishes an identity: Your Website is your Virtual Storefront and Content is King on Your Website because many other traditional mediums are immediately ignored by your customers, both consumer and B2B. When they think of when they want or need something, a product or service, that you might have, they aren’t listening to the radio at that instance or reading the newspaper looking for more information on who sells it….they pop open their laptop, computer or smartphone, and Google search whatever it is they need to know more about or buy.
